Imphal, January 13 2010: Atleast two cadres of People's Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (PREPAK) were apprehended by police commandos Tuesday from Uyumpok Maning Leikai and recovered ammunitions from the cadres, according to the police.

The two cadres have been identified as one Yengkhom Robi (19), son of Y Somani of Uyumpok Maning Leikai who was arrested at 9 am while the other Keisham Nirpen @ Sanayanba (24), son of K Raghu of Uyumpok Maning Leikai who was arrested around 10.15 am, according to the police.

On verification, the former revealed that he had joined the organization in the month of October last through one Bhim of PREPAK organization and was involved in extorting money from the general public, government officials, businessmen for the party fund while the latter revealed that he had joined the organization in the month of September 2008 through the same Bhim.

He disclosed that he is an active member of the organization and involved in several extortion activities in the Uyumpok areas, according to the police.

The police further revealed that one 9mm pistol loaded with four live rounds in the magazine was recovered from the possession of Y.Robi while one 32 pistol loaded with two live rounds in the magazine was recovered from the possession of K.Raghu.
