All Manipur Tammi Chingmi Apunba Nupi Lup celebrates 30th foundation day

Imphal, November 26 2021: The 30th foundation day of All Manipur Tammi Chingmi Apunba Nupi Lup (Tammi Chingmi) was observed today at Uripok Yambem Leikai Mamang community hall.

The observation was started with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp followed by floral tribute to the portraits of late three women who had played an important role in the functioning of the organisation as well as in important issues of the State, Soibam Momom Leima, Phurailatpam Ningol Hidangmayum ongbi Sanahanbi and Laiphrakpam ongbi Modhu Leima.

A two minutes silence was also observed for the departed souls.

The programme was attended by Yambem Momon Leima, president Tammi Chingmi; Lourembam Nganbi, president in charge, Apunba Manipur Kanba Ima Lup (AMKIL) and Thokchom Ramani Leima, president All Manipur Women Social Reformation and Development Samaj (Nupi Samaj) as presidium members.

Speaking at the event, Yambem Momon Leima said Tammi Chingmi was formed on November 26, 1991 by integration mothers from all communities and has been playing an important role since its inception in important issues of the State.

She added that many lives have been lost due to the COVID-19 pandemic but the people seem to have forgotten the existence of the virus in campaigning for election which is very unfortunate.
