Swachhata Hi Seva campaign held widely

109 Battalion CRPF, Mongsangei, organised the "Swachhata Hi Seva (SHS), 2024" campaign at Mongsangei, Imphal Weston Saturday.
According to a release issued by CRPF, the Unit will be conducting various activities during the SHS 2024 campaign such as displaying of "Swachhata Hi Seva (SHS)-2024" logo on all official documents'letters and Swachhata slogan on Flex, Standees, Banners, etc at prominent locations; administering the Swachhata Hi Seva pledge to the participants; distributing campaign materials (banners, posters & leaflets); cleanliness drives in the surrounding area of Mongsangei, Makha Leikai and Old Age Home, Mongsangei.
As part of the campaign, 109 Bn, CRPF in collaboration with Social Welfare Youth Club (SWYC) carried out a cleanliness drive in the Mongsangei area.

21/C(Adm/Ops)-109 Bn; Parvinder Kaur, DC-109 Bn; Hirachandra Singh, president, SWYC; Paikhomba Singh, general secretary, SWYC and personnel of 109 Bn CRPF actively participated in cleaning the public pond and surrounding areas.
Speaking on the occasion, Govind Prasad Uniyal emphasized the need for a clean India which can be achieved only by active participation of each and every citizen.
He asserted that cleanliness is important not only in community life but also in economic, social and ethical ways.
"Even after the entire public pond of Mongsangei is cleaned and made pollution-free, it will be necessary to prevent people from polluting it again.
It is, therefore, desirable to educate people and local bodies about the need to keep the Dam and its area free from any pollution.
The basic facts of cleanliness should be taught to every citizen of this Country", said the Commandant.
Similarly, 143 Bn CRPF organised the launching ceremony of "Swachhata Hi Seva (SHS)-2024" campaign at NG College, Imphal today.
Wangkhem Sandhyarani Devi, Indian Wushu Player (Arjuna Award recipient of 2011) inaugurated the campaign in the presence or Ravinder Sharma, Commandant, 143 Bn CRPF; Ashok RC, Principal, NG College and other prominent dignitaries, social workers, students and jawans of the Unit.
During the event, Wangkhem Sandhyarani Devi appreciated the participation and efforts made by CRPF in the service of the society and Nation.
The Swachhata Hi Seva pledge was also administered to all the participants.
Moreover, 69 Bn CRPF under the aegis of IGP Jharkhand Sector CRPF also launched the "Swachhata Hi Seva (SHS)-2024" campaign on Saturday.
The campaign was officially launched by SA Rojan Zimik, Commandant, 69 Bn CRPF.
Administering of the Swachhata Hi Seva Pledge to all the officers and jawans of the Battalion by the Commandant was the main highlight of the event.
Notably, the SHS-2024 campaign will be observed from September 14 to October 2, 2024 throughout the country with the aim to spread awareness about the significance of cleanliness among the people.
