Military forces abet influx : RPF

Imphal, September 11 2016: The proscribed RPF has alleged that Indian military forces have been actively engaged in bringing in (Indian) surplus population to the State.

Referring to a report about detection and detention of 35 non-local labourers while checking buses by Pheidinga Meira Paibis and volunteers of the Loitang Khullen Lup, the outfit alleged that the Indian military forces have been directly facilitating incessant influx of Indian people into Manipur.

Notably, the 35 non-local labourers detained by Meira Paibis were said to be engaged by non-local contractor Mani Singh alias Asutos for construction of military hospital at Leimakhong, according to a press release issued by the outfit's publicity secretary Roben Khuman.

Civic action programmes organised by Indian military forces under the banners 'Know Your Friend', 'Know Your Army' etc are all hogwash.

If they genuinely believe in their own slogans, they would have mobilised and hired unemployed local youth for their different construction works.

Since Manipur was annexed by the Indian Union, large number of homeless, impoverished Indian people have been systematically planted in Manipur in the name of different construction works, alleged the outfit.

This migrant population ultimately settled in Manipur with a sinister intention to wrest the economic and political power from the local people.

Shielded by the infamous AFSPA, Indian military forces have massacred a large number of people, many have been pushed into involuntary disappearance, many others maimed while many women were raped and/or murdered, it said.

It went on to allege that many Indian military personnel are involved in smuggling drugs.

At the same time, Indian military forces, in cahoot s with militant groups under SoO pacts, have been indulging in all kinds of anti-social activities including extortion and murders thereby projecting the genuine revolutionary groups in the wrong light.

Alleging that the Indian military is one of most undisciplined army in the world, the outfit said that they came here not to protect the people but to perpetuate the alien rule.
