One rescued

A 45 year old man abducted by some unknown persons from his shop has been rescued by police.
Acting on a report filed by one Ashem Chandrakanta Singh of Wangbal Lamboi-thong at Heingang police station that his younger brother Ashem Onitkumar (45) s/o late A Mani of Koirengei Nepali Basti was abducted by some unknown persons yesterday, police started due investigation and located the victim at Santi-pur under Sekmai police station through mobile tower location.
Acting swiftly, a team of Heingang police station rushed to the area and conducted a search operation.
In the course of the search operation, Onitkumar was found confined inside an isolated house at Santipur and he was rescued.
Moreover, two miscreants identified as Shamurailakpam Dhanaraj Sharma s/o Sh Surjit Sharma of Thangmeiband Fishery Gate and Naorem Lanchenba (23) s/o N Inaocha of Moreh Ward No 7, presently staying at Lamphel supermarket who were involved in the abduction were arrested from the spot.
One pistol with eight live rounds of .32, one live round of 9 mm, one demand letter and three mobile phones were seized from the possession of the two abductors.
The police team also recovered one i20 car belonging to the victim.
On preliminary enquiry, the two abductors revealed that two other individuals were also involved in the abduction, sources said.
