IE DEO details vote count arrangement

Imphal, March 09 2022: The District Election Officer (DEO) Imphal East has informed that the counting of votes for 10 ACs in Imphal East will begin at 8 am tomorrow (March 10) at various counting halls.

The counting of poll for 1-Khundrakpam and 8-Lamlai AC will be held at counting hall number 1 opened at Panchayat Bhavan (DC Complex IE) while 2-Heingang and 3-Khurai ACs counting will be done at counting hall number 2 inside the same complex.

Counting of 4-Kshetrigao and 5-Thongju ACs will be done at counting hall number 3 opened at Gymnasium Hall (DC IE complex) while hall number 4 at the same site has been reserved for 14-Yaiskul and 15-Wangkhei ACs.

Hall number 5 opened at SIRD canteen inside DC IE Complex has been reserved for counting for 6-Keirao and 7-Andro ACs.

The DEO further informed that as a part of the security arrangement, vehicles coming from Porompat crossing will be parked at Star Sporting Ground and they have to proceed towards the counting premises with a valid ID card on foot.

Similarly, vehicles coming from Kongpal and Khurai Kongkham Leikai side will be parked at EYCA ground and Eka Train ground respectively.

Counting agents who are double dose vaccinated or having COVID-19 negative result and having valid ID card issued by the candidates/agent and duly declared on the Form 18 of the Conduct of Election Rules, 1961 in the presence of the RO will be allowed to enter the counting hall, added the DEO.
