Imphal, February 01: Along with pulling up a man who allegedly issued a statement through the media in the name of RPF/PLA to save his son who was involved in misbehaving with a family returning home from Silchar on January 11 last, the proscribed outfit has given 7 days time to the son to surrender and has warned of stern action if he fails to do so.

The man identified as Oinam Kunje was paraded before mediapersons somewhere in Thoubal district today and he confessed to the charges.

It may be recalled here that two persons namely, Sapam Pradip (24) and Haobijam Singjajit (24), both residents of Thangalawai Khongnang Makhong, who were also involved in the incident had already surrendered to the outfit.

The third accused identified as Oinam Rejenson (25) s/o Oinam Kunje is still at large.

In order to save his son, Kunje allegedly issued a statement claiming that the matter has been settled.
