Spelling out its agenda, the Kuki National Front (KNF) stated that the Kukis of India are suffering politically before the British rule in India and after India attained independence from the British.
In a statement NL Daniel Haokip, information secretary of the Front said that in such circumstances, the outfit is working to achieve the political goal of the Kukis of India by seeking Kukiland that comprises of all the Kuki dominated areas under one administrative unit in the North Eastern region within the frame work of India's Constitution and articles.
The outfit also asked the Central security forces deployed in States where the Kukis are settled to respect the political rights of the Kukis adding that even the British respected the Kukis by summoning arrest warrant to political leaders of the Anglo-Kuki war of 1917-19.It added that Central security and State police forces cannot simply have the licence to kill the Kuki people under any circumstances and any action for crimes committed, if any be processed under the judicial law.
KNF also warned the Govt to act according to the history of North East people and who have had contributed to attainment of India's freedom.
