One shot dead, another man injured

Imphal, December 16 2022: Unidentified person (s) shot a man to death and another sustained injuries at Iroi Salam under Mayang Imphal police station on Thursday.

The deceased has been identified as Phundreimayum Amir Khan (30) son of late Abdul Gafar of Mayang Imphal Bengoon while one Md Azad alias Raj (35) son of late Hatim Ali alias Nahayai sustained severe injuries from the gun shots.

According to police, on Thursday around 1:20 pm, the two were shot at by unidentified person (s) at Iroi Salam which claimed the life Amir Khan and left Azad injured.

A suo motu case has been registered and the lifeless body of Amir Khan kept at RIMS mortuary for post mortem while Azad has been admitted to Raj Medicity hospital, the police added.
