DH Kangpokpi issues Covid-19 safety measures

Kangpokpi, July 22 2022:
In view of increasing COVID-19 positive cases in the state, authority of District Hospital Kangpokpi has issued precautionary measures for effective prevention and control of COVID-19 especially in and around the hospital and public places.
A public notice issued by District Hospital MS Dr Paotinlal Haokip said that only one attendant shall be permitted to take care of patients who need assistance while strongly urging patients to enter the hospital alone as far as possible.
It also restricted children less than 12 years of age, elderly people above 65 years of age and patients with known cases
of immune deficiency conditions like Diabetes, Cancer, Asthma, TB, HIV/ AIDS, etc., to visit the hospital premises only for urgent and unavoidable medical reasons.
It further informed public not to visit patients admitted to the hospital except for the caregiver/ attendant.
The hospital authority also strongly restricted any attendant/visitor to sit or sleep on patient's bed as well as beside the patient.
It also strongly advised every citizen to strictly follow COVID-19 appropriate behaviours such as use of face mask in hospitals/ public places, hand washing with soap and water or using sanitizer before and after entering the hospital premises and other public places.
