The Dollang Circle Village Authority Council, Noney has urged the Rongmei Naga Council Manipur (RNCM) to call off its indefinite bandh along the NH-37 and find an alternative means to raise their demand.
It said the RNCM's bandh since midnight of August 18 has affected the people of the region socially and economically.
People, especially daily wage earners and marginal trade and business have been affected, it said.
It also stressed that the Haipou Jadonang Day falls on August 29 and the bandh would hinder people's movement on the day.
The Dollang Circle Village Authority Council, Noney urged the RNCM to withdraw the bandh and find an alternative means to settle their demand.
Notably, the RNCM had imposed the indefinite bandh demanding merger of several Naga villages in Churachandpur and Kangpokpi with
Noney district.
