More accusation against KCP (Lalumba) cadre Fresh case taken up against accused

A fresh murder case has been taken up against Wahengbam Ramanan-da alias Rousaw alias Sousaw (39) s/o (L) W Biren Singh of Kontha Ahallup Makha Leikai, who has been accused of killing a cadre of KCP (Nando) and serving his cooked flesh to other cadres.
Ramananda is a cadre of KCP-MC (Lalumba), which is currently under a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the State Government.
After taking permission from the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Imphal West, Heingang police formally arrested him for his alleged involvement in the murder of a youth hailing from Nungu Chairel.
The youth was found dead at a paddy field of Uprao Loukon near Ishing Thembi Khong in Yumnam Patlou village on March 28, 2009 .
It is said that the youth was abducted from Kei-shampat Laisom Leirak the same day.
It may be mentioned that Ramananda was arrested along with two other cadres of KCP-MC (Lalumba) by a team of Imphal West police commandos led by their OC P Sanjoy during a frisking drive on November 18 last.
They were later handed over to Lamphel police station for questioning.
During the course of interrogation, Ramananda revealed his involvement in two different cases - killing and serving the cooked human flesh of a KCP (Nando) cadre to other cadres and abduction and killing of a youth at a paddy field of Yumnam Patlou.
After these revelations, Imphal police formally arrested Ramananda on December 2 regarding abduction of the Nungu Chairel youth and took up a case under FIR number 97(3) 2009 of Imphal police station under Section 365/34IPC r/w 16/20 UA(P) Act.
During the course of investigation, it came to light that Ramananda allegedly killed the abducted youth at a paddy field of Yumnam Patlou under Heingang police station on March 28, 2009.As such, he was again formally arrested by Heingang police to investigate the murder case further.
It may be mentioned that one of the two persons, who was arrested along with Ramananda by Imphal West district police commandos, had already been released on bail while the other had been sent to judicial custody earlier.
