Imphal, February 05: Commando personnel of Imphal East district police have rounded up four activists belonging to the PREPAK and PLA outfits from different places today.

A statement issued by the SP (IE) L Kailun said Heikrujam Romen Singh 932) s/o Joymangol of Serou Mayai Leikai was arrested from Soibam Leikai Wangkhei Khunou area where the commandos were on frisking and checking duty.

On Romen's disclosure one Thingnam Mangilan Singh (26) s/o Th Rajen of Narankonjin Mayai Leikai was apprehended from his residence along with recovery of a 9 mm pistol and two live rounds.

The duo is said to involved in the bomb attack at the Soibam Leikai Porompat Road residence of Director (Veterinary) on September 21, 2007 .

A team of Imphal East CDO acting upon specific information raided the guard room of RIMS' private security and arrested one PLA cadre and a harbourer of the banned outfit identified as Yanglem Noren Singh (37) s/o (L) Y Mani of nambol Phoijing makha Leikai.

The PLA cadre is said to be one Laishram Lincoln alias Thoiba alias Nikolai alias Naokhomba (37) s/o Modhu Singh of Kakwa Naorem Leikai presently a resident of Naoremthong Khulem Leikai.

Lincoln, whose Army No is informed to be 0854 of the 15th batch holds the rank of Sgt Major, the SP said listing one 9 mm pistol and three live rounds as items recovered from possession of the arrestee.
