The SP of Traffic Control Police has informed the route/traffic diversion that will be imposed in connection with the proposed visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on January 4.The diversion will be effective from 8 am till the end of the function at Hapta Kangjeibung.
Diversion of route/traffic
Singjamei Junction: Vehicles coming from Thoubal and Kakching (Indo-Myanmar Road) will be diverted towards Pishum-Khagempalli-Kwakeithel and towards Tera.
Pishumthong: Vehicles coming from Mayai Lambi will be diverted towards Khagempalli.
Kwakeithel Bazar: Vehicles coming from Tiddim Road will be diverted towards Tera Bazar.
Wahengbam Leikai Junction: Vehicles coming from Jiribam-Imphal road will be diverted towards Nagamapal-Thangmeiband and then towards Assembly road.
Canteen Crossing: Vehicles coming from Uripok side will be diverted towards RIMS-Sanakeithel-Watham Leirak-Assembly Road towards Khongang Ani Karak.
Lamlong Bazar: Vehicles coming from Imphal-Ukhrul Road, Tinsid Road and Pangei Road will be diverted towards Ayangpalli road and towards Singjamei.
Kongba Junction: Vehicles coming from Singjamei, Kongba, Ngarian, Yairipok and Andro will be diverted towards Ayangpalli Road/Singjamei Kongba Road.
Yonglan Leirak Crossing: Vehicles coming from Kshetrigao side will be diverted along Ayangpalli stretch.
Dropping points and public parking
Minuthong, MMTA, Tiddim Road: Vehicles coming from Lamlong Khurai, Sangakpham, Koirengei side, Tiddim Road and Jiri/Uripok will be parked at Khuman Lampak Sports Complex, Pandon stretch and Dingku Road.
Porompat Traffic Point: Vehicles coming from Lamlong and Khurai will be parked along DC Road and Modern College campus.
Kongba Junction: Vehicles coming from Andro, Yairipok and Keirao will be parked at OLA Lampak.
Harikhagok Makhong: Vehicles coming from Mayai Lambi will divert towards Singh and Co Moirangkhom Old Thumbuthong and park at Ningthem Pukhri Mapal and along the side of Andro Parking till Meihoubam Lampak.
Vehicles coming from Thoubal/Lilong will also be parked at the same site.
