Governor, CM greet on Mahavir Jayanti

Governor Gurbachan Jagat and Chief Minister O Ibobi have extended greetings to the people of the State on the occasion of Mahavir Jayanti.
Governor in his message said, "The teachings of Lord Mahavir set aside all the social boundaries of caste, creed and left behind an eternal message of peaceful co-existence of mankind as a whole.
He showed the path to salvation through love, compassion, benevolence, forgiveness, non-violence and renunciation of materialistic desires.
In celebrating the birth of Lord Mahavir, along with paying our pure adoration to this outstanding apostle of peace and non-violence, let all of us pledge to follow his ideal Live and Let Alve, which has become today more and more important in the world over" .
Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh has also extended warm greetings and good wishes to the people of the State on the occasion.
In his message, the Chief Minister said, "Bhagavan Mahavir, through his divine life and teachings showed mankind the path of right conduct, non-violence, peace and universal love.
His teachings are relevant at all times to emancipate mankind from suffering and to ensure peace and happiness through spiritual excellence.
The CM urged to imbibe Mahavir's teachings for promoting peace and enduring happiness of humanity.
