Votes set to be counted in 34 halls on May 23

Imphal, May 04 2019: Votes for Inner Manipur PC would be counted in 18 halls and for Outer Manipur PC in 16 halls on May 23 .

For 10 Assembly segments of Imphal East district votes would be counted in three counting halls of the Panchayat Bhavan, DC Office complex and three other counting halls of Gymnasium Hall, SIRD, DC Office complex on 10 tables each.

There would four rounds of counting for Khundrakpam AC, Lamlai AC, Keirao AC and Yaiskul AC while Heingang AC, Khurai AC, Kshetrigao AC, Thongju AC, Andro AC and Wangkhei AC would have five rounds of counting.

For 13 Assembly segments of Imphal West district, votes would be counted in seven counting halls of DC Office complex.

Moreover, postal ballots for all 32 Assembly segments which constitute Inner Manipur PC will also be counted at Imphal West DC office complex (counting hall no 8).Votes polled in Thangmeiband AC, Sagolband AC, Uripok AC, Keishamthong AC, Singjamei AC, Sekmai AC, Lamsang AC, Wangoi AC and Mayang Imphal AC will be counted on 10 tables each while those of Konthoujam AC, Patsoi AC, Langthabal AC and Naoriya Pakhanglakpa AC would be counted on 14 tables each.

There will be five rounds of counting for Thangmeiband AC, Sekmai AC, Lamsang AC and Mayang Imphal AC whereas Sagolband AC, Uripok AC, Keishamthong AC, Patsoi AC, Wangoi AC and Naoriya Pakhanglakpa AC will have four rounds of counting.

Singjamei AC, Konthoujam AC and Langthabal AC will have three rounds of counting.

For the six Assembly segments of Bishnupur district, votes would be counted in three counting halls at Bishnupur mini-secretariat multipurpose hall.

There will be 14 counting tables in each counting hall.

Nambol AC and Moirang AC will have four rounds of counting while Oinam AC, Bishnupur AC and Kumbi AC would have three rounds of counting and Thanga AC would have two rounds of counting.

For the three Assembly segments of Thoubal district included in Inner Manipur PC, votes would be counted in one counting hall at DC Office complex over 12 tables and each of the three Assembly segments namely Lilong, Thoubal and Wangkhem would have four rounds of counting.

For the seven Assembly segments of Thoubal district which are included in Outer Manipur PC, votes would be counted in three counting halls of DC office complex and mini-secretariat.

Votes polled in Heirok AC, Wangjing-Tentha AC and Khangabok AC would be counted over 12 tables each while those polled in Wabagai AC, Kakching AC, Hiyanglam AC and Sugnu AC would be counted on 10 tables each.

Each of the seven Assembly segments would have four rounds of counting.

Postal ballots of all the 28 Assembly segments which constitute Outer Manipur PC would be counted at Thoubal CD Block hall.

Votes polled in Jiribam AC would be counted at DC Office complex over five tables in eight rounds.

Votes polled in Chandel AC and Tengnoupal AC would be counted in one counting hall at Chandel DC office complex multipurpose hall over 14 tables each.

Chandel AC would have six rounds of counting while Tengnoupal AC would have five rounds.

Votes polled in Phungyar AC, Ukhrul AC and Chingai AC would be counted together in one counting hall at mini-secretariat complex multipurpose hall over 14 counting tables each.

Phungyar AC would have six rounds of counting while Ukhrul AC and Chingai AC would have five rounds of counting each.

There would be 14 tables each for Karong AC, Mao AC and Tadubi AC at Senapati Multipurpose Hall and each of the three Assembly segments would have six rounds of counting.

Votes polled in Saikul AC would be counted on 10 tables, Kangpokpi AC on 10 tables and Saitu AC on 11 tables in three counting halls at Kangpokpi DC Office complex.

Saikul AC would have six rounds of counting, Kangpokpi four rounds and Saitu seven rounds.

Votes polled in Tamei AC, Tamenglong AC and Nungba AC would be counted in two counting halls at Tamenglong Higher Secondary School.

There would be 10 counting tables each for Tamei AC and Nungba AC, and eight for Tamenglong AC.

There would be nine rounds of counting for Tamei AC, five rounds for Nungba AC and eight rounds for Tamenglong AC.

For the six Assembly segments of Churachandpur district, votes would be counted in three counting halls at District Training Centre, Tuibong.

There would be eight counting tables each for Tipaimukh AC and Thanlon AC, 10 tables each for Henglep AC and Singhat AC and 14 tables for Churachandpur AC and Saikot AC.

Tipaimukh AC and Thanlon AC would have five rounds of counting while there would be six rounds of counting for Henglep AC, Singhat AC, Churachandpur AC and Saikot AC .

Meanwhile, the office of the CEO has been making necessary arrangements to make the counting process and votes secured by different candidates at the end of each round of counting accessible to public.

EVMs used in the election are being guarded by Central paramilitary forces at district headquarters.
