Imphal, June 17 2021:
Many continued to extend help to the people in the State who have been affected badly by the ongoing Second Wave of COVID-19 to ease the sufferings caused by the pandemic.
Lamlai
Relief items were distributed to households in the containment zones at Sanjenbam Sabal Leikai, Sangsabi, Takhel, Pungdongbam, Lousangkhong and Napet in Lamlai Assembly Constituency today.
The relief items were distributed under the aegis of Kh Ibomcha, State Council Member of BJP Manipur and chairman of COVID-19 Second Wave Fighting Task Force BJP Lamlai Mandal in the presence of A Jamini, chairperson of Lamlai Kendra Covid Awareness and Enforcement Committee and I Prem, former pradhan of Pungdongbam Gram Panchayat.
Also monetary assistance was provided to task forces of Itam Nungoi and Sanjenbam Saban Leikai.
Kakching
Social worker Yengkhom Nilachandra of Kakching Khullen Laishangbam Pareng distributed face shields, sanitizer, soaps etc to transgenders in Kakching Assembly Constituency today.
Speaking on the occasion, Y Nilachandra said that he has been extending all possible help to people of Kakching AC ever since the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic last year.
He stressed on the importance of the role of transgender in the society and called for concerted efforts from all for a developed society.
Further he appealed to all to strictly follow the Covid SOPs and guidelines to protect oneself from COVID-19 and to contain the spread of the pandemic.
Yaiskul
COVID-19 Task Force Yaiskul distributed essential items to around 19 house-holds in the containment zones at Yaiskul AC today.
The task force has been extending help to those affected by COVID-19 and has been distributing relief items from the contributions made by its members and well wishers since the first wave of the pandemic.
Laimayum Rajeev, the incharge of the task force said that the task force has around 190 members including 3 doctors and have been working relentlessly since the outbreak of the pandemic last year.
Further he appealed to all to strictly follow the Covid protocols and guidelines issued by the Government to contain the spread of the pandemic and to undergo COVID-19 testing and get vaccinated at the earliest.
