AR felicitates Agniveer selectees

Imphal, October 20 2024: Assam Rifles successfully trained and inspired 124 youths to join the Indian Army through multiple recruitment channels.

As part of the endeavour, a felicitation programme was held on October 19 at Headquarters Veng, Churachandpur district, for 49 candidates who successfully cleared the Agniveer Recruitment Rally 2024.These selected candidates will soon commence their army training at various locations across India, said PRO IGAR (S) in a press release.

With the stated objective to encourage the youth join the Armed Forces, an intensive eight-week training capsule was organised at various locations in Churachandpur, targeting aspirants from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, remote villages, and internally displaced camps due to the ongoing conflict.

The training covered candidate registration, written test preparation, and physical training, the release added.
