AR-aided skill development programme concludes

Assam Rifles, in collaboration with the North East Skill and Entrepreneurship Development (NESEED) Foundation, organised an event to mark the completion of a 45-day skill development programme in Churachandpur district.
The programme, which commenced on June 1 aimed to equip 60 students - 30 each in the trades of assistant electrician and construction wall painter - with industry relevant skills to enhance their employability, according to PROIGAR(S) .
NESEED, a training provider for the National Skill Development Corporation, New Delhi, and an empanelled training partner of the Manipur Society for Skill Development (MSSD), conducted the training.
The programme included hands-on training and theoretical knowledge imparted by experienced instructors.
The students were assessed on their performance and awarded certificates upon completion of the training, the PRO said in a release, adding that the initiative, which concluded on 'World Youth Skills Day', was part of Assam Rifles' ongoing efforts to empower the youth of Manipur and contribute to the region's socio-economic development.
The programme received positive responses from the local community, and Assam Rifles plans to organise more such initiatives in the future, it added.
