Schools advised to boost diligent staffers

Imphal, August 06 2022: The Department of Education (Schools) on Friday instructed the heads of schools to display the photographs and details of the teaching and non-teaching staff of their respective schools at prominent location/wall of the school building.

In a notification, Education (S) Commissioner H Gyan Prakash informed that the government of Manipur has been considering the issue of irregularity in attendance and also engaging people to perform duties in their place by teaching and non-teaching staff in schools under the Department.

He said that in a step to improve attendance and check impersonation by school teachers and support staff, especially in remote and hilly areas of the state, heads of schools shall have to display the duty framed passport (head and bust) photograph of their respective teacher/staff in A4 size along with name and designation in the school building.

All Zonal Education Officers have also been advised to ensure compliance with the instructions and to submit a compliance report to the Director (Education-S), within August 15 .
