Imphal, June 29 2021: Seram Neken, ZP member Imphal East handed over water pumps, pipes and accessories to farmers of Ningomthong Kitna Panung Social Welfare Association today.

The water pumps were provided to help the farmers in drawing water from the rivers to the paddy fields to ensure timely cultivation.

Plan for distribution of water pumps and accessories for farmers of Kajipat is in the pipeline and will be delivered to the farmers in the coming days, said Seram Neken.

Seram Neken, who is also an intending candidate from Thongju AC in the upcoming general elections also assured the farmers to provide them with fuels to run the existing water pumps.

He also urged the concerned Government departments to operationalise all existing River Lift Irrigation (RLI) pumps in Thongju AC .
