1962 Indo-China war heroes honoured

Imphal, October 25 2024:
Assam Rifles on Thursday conducted a wreath-laying ceremony at Moreh to honour three valiant soldiers who sacrificed their lives in the 1962 Indo-China War at Bumla, NEFA (now Arunachal Pradesh).
The event paid tribute to naik Dharamsat Adhikari, and riflemen Jit Man Limbu, and Kharka Bahadur Sarki, whose extraordinary courage, unwavering loyalty, and comradeship exemplified the spirit of the Assam Rifles, said PRO IGAR (S) in a release.
The event featured a guard of honour and a heartfelt wreath-laying ceremony attended by over 200 service personnel.
The Assam Rifles continues to uphold the legacy of its brave soldiers through such commemorative events, reinforcing its commitment to remember and honour those who have served and sacrificed for the nation, it added.
