Kakching, August 10 2025: Kakching District Bar Association (KDBA) conducted legal awareness programmes on 'The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012, and The Prohibition of Child Marriage Act, 2006' at Kakching Khunou Government High School, Kakching Khunou Makha High School and Cheksa-pat High School, Kakching Khunou on Saturday.

The programmes attended by KDBA president Nongmaithem Madhu Singh, vice president Chongtham Manishwar and other functionaries, had executive members elaborating on contents of the POCSO Act, 2012 and the Prohibition of Child Marriage Act, 2006 to the student participants.

Under the initiative of Kakching deputy commissioner Rohit Anand.

KDBA in collaboration with ZEO, Kakching, has been conducting such awareness programmes in schools across the district since July 12 to educate students about these child related laws.
