Seminar on 'Folklore & Literature' begins

Imphal, November 11 2022: A two-day seminar on 'Folklore & Literature', which is being organised by Cultural Forum Manipur began from Friday at LN Manipur Dance Academy.

The inaugural session of the seminar was attended by JN Dance Academy director Pukhrambam Bilash as chief guest, Cultural Forum president Huirem Bihari as president and Manipur Language Advisory Board convener N Kirankumar as guest of honour.

In his speech at the inaugural session, P Bilash said that background literatures are required for doing works on culture while folklore is an intangible asset used often by great writers (literature) since early period and still followed by contemporary writers.

Huirem Bihari also said that there is close relation between literature and folklore just like two sides of a coin and hence the two cannot be separated in the modern age too.
