BSF trooper suspended in sexual harassment case

Imphal, August 03 2025: Based on a complaint of alleged sexual harassment of a girl by one BSF trooper deployed in Churachandpur town, the BSF authorities immediately initiate disciplinary action, suspending the accused and handing him over to the police for further investigation and action as per the law of the land.

According to BSF M&C Frontier PRO, the Force has been deployed in Manipur to not only assist the local administration but also to instil a sense of security among the local population.

As a policy, any behaviour unbecoming of a soldier is not tolerated and immediate strict disciplinary action, as per BSF Act and Rules, is taken against the defaulter.
