Hyderabad meet to figure issues of state's MMWs

Imphal, October 31 2022: The issues faced by the midday meal workers (MMWs) of Manipur will be brought up for discussion during the national conference of All India Midday Meal Workers' Union to be held in Hyderabad from November 3 to 4, All Manipur Midday Meal Workers' Union general secretary Aramba Thoi Chanu has informed.

Speaking to newspersons prior to leaving the state for the conference on Monday, Arambam Thoi informed that a 7-member team led by Union president Sanasam Mainou would be participating in the conference.

She then said that while prices of daily essential items are increasing day-by-day, the inconveniences faced by the midday meal workers, who are already receiving low wages, remain unaddressed.

As such, the issues faced by the workers will be brought up in the conference so as to draw attention of the government for taking up requisite measures at the central or state level to resolve the same, she conveyed.
