Imphal, September 28 2021: Chandel Battalion of IGAR (South) organised pre-recruitment training for the women candidates of Chandel district to train them for upcoming rallies of Indian Armed Forces in 2021.According to PRO IGAR (S), the pre-recruitment training was conducted for five weeks from August 21 at Chandel Battalion Headquarters.

The main objective of the training programme was to guide and prepare candidates from remote villages to clear various tests conducted during recruitment rally.

The candidates were imparted physical training and guidance for written examination and interview during the programme that concluded on Monday.

A total of 179 women candidates attended the training programme, the PRO said and informed that women candidates have opportunities to join Indian Army, Air force, Navy, Assam Rifles and Para Military Forces.

Assam Rifles endeavours to train maximum youths for recruitment to fulfill their aspiration of becoming a soldier and live an honourable life, it added.
