Mass tree plantation drive held all over

Kpi/Non/Tbl, June 24 2021: In observance of Balidan Diwas and 68th death anniversary of Dr Shyama Prashad Mukherjee, the founder of Bharatiya Jana Sangh, BJP Sadar Hills organized mass tree plantation drive today at Kangpokpi.

Kangpokpi AC MLA, Nemcha Kipgen also participated in the programme held at the office campus of BJP Sadar Hills at Kangpokpi District Headquarters.

It was also participated by Premananda Meetei, general secretary BJP Manipur Pradesh; Kh Basanta, State secretary BJP Manipur Pradesh; Haokholal Hangshing, caretaker Chairman ADC Sadar Hills; Thangjamang Kipgen, president BJP Sadar Hills; Tingnei Lhouvum, president BJP Kangpokpi Mandal and former members of ADC Sadar Hills.

Different kinds of saplings were planted inside the office campus of BJP Sadar Hills and surrounding areas.

Similarly, to commemorate the 68th death anniversary of Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, BJP Nungba Mandal launched a mass tree plantation drive at its liaison office on June 23.BJP Nungba Mandal in a statement stated that the Mandal would carry out a tree plantation drive covering the entire area of Nungba-Khoupum, Longmai, Nungba, etc in commemoration of the Balidan Diwas upto July 6.The BJP Nungba Mandal Committee also extended its appreciation to MTDC Ltd Chairman, Ginsuanhau Zou for inspecting the infrastructure development of the newly created Noney district during his visit to Noney DHQ.

Moreover, the Mandal Committee denounced the usage of the BJP Nungba Mandal Committee by some individual without the knowledge and consent of the said committee as the BJP Nungba Mandal Committee was not a part of the team of officials led by Ginsuanhou Zou during his visit to Noney on June 23.The BJP Nungba Mandal Committee further cautioned all its members or any individual not to use the name of the committee without prior approval and consent of its committee.

Meanwhile, in observance of the 68th death anniversary of Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, volunr teers led by social worker, Dr Khundrakpam Akoisana planted tree saplings at Sangaiyumpham under Khangabok AC today.
