Imphal, August 10 2025:
The family members of Changangei Gram Panchayat Administrative Committee chairperson allegedly beat up a job card holder on Saturday for defying insistence on deducting commission from her wages.

In regard to the incident, the injured job card holder from Ward no.5 identified as Yumnam Anamika recounted that on Saturday, she went to get photographed at Changangei Maning Leikai Heikrumakhong, relating to job card holders.
After getting photographed, one Ningthoujam Binaroi, wife of chairperson-Inaoba, demanded a cut of three days' wages from the total wage Anamika received for 10 days of work.
As Saturday and Sunday were bank holidays, she informed that she would give the money on Monday.
However, an argument broke out and then Binaraoi along with her daughter Oli and sister-in-law proceeded to beat and kick her.Anamika informed that she has already filed a report at Lamphel PS and urged all concerned to look into the matter as well.
CMLCKL secretary Yumnam Premika said that the people are dissatisfied with the work done by chairperson Inaoba and want him to be replaced with someone incompetent.
She continued that there have been similar "disagreements" faced by the locals with Inaoba's family.
As such, she urged authority concerned to look into the matter and prevent a repeat of the same.
