Live bullet, warning note placed at KP College

Imphal, March 03 2023: Unknown persons reportedly placed a live bullet at the administrative block of Kamakhya Pemton (KP) College, Hiyangthang under Wangoi police station on Friday.

A message on a paper writing 'Last Warning KCP PWG' was also left along with the .38 calibre bullet on a table near the office of the principal.

The bullet along with the paper was spotted by some teachers around 2.30 pm.

Upon getting information about the threat, a team of Wangoi police came and picked up the bullet and the paper.

It may be mentioned here that the college is also a centre for the ongoing Class 12 examination conducted by COHSEM.

Condemning the threat, KP College English Department assistant professor Laishram Priyobati said that placing bullet along with a warning letter has caused fear and apprehension among the staffers of the college.

She appealed to all concerned not to repeat such act in the future and also demanded for a clarification.
