Imphal, September 27 2024: As a part of Swachhata Hi Seva programme's "Safai Abhiyan", High Court of Manipur led by Chief Justice Siddharth Mridul organised a special programme to distribute Personal Accident Policy certificates to its Safai Karmacharis at the Judges Lounge of the High Court in the presence of justices A Bimol Singh and A Guneshwar Sharma, registrar general of the High Court Ojesh Mutum, National Insurance Company Limited, Imphal Business Office chief business manager Naorem Ibomeha Singh, staff and registry officials of the High Court.

In his address, Chief Justice Siddharth Mridul emphasised the importance of accident insurance for employees in essential services like sanitation.

He highlighted the tireless dedication of the Safai Karmacharis, noting their vital role in maintaining cleanliness within the Court premises.

He further stated that this initiative represents a step towards recognising the critical contributions of these employees.

The Personal Accident Policy, provided in collaboration with the National Insurance Company, aims to offer financial protection to Safai Karmacharis in the event of any accident, thereby enhancing their sense of security.
