The political parties which have not yet met with the Committee were also urged to take a call as well.
"If Manipur were to have political autonomy, all of the prevailing issues arid problems could be resolved easily.
Manipur already has a history spanning over 2000 years as an independent sovereign kingdom and as such, deserves the right of political autonomy.
A democratic nation means that its citizens can enjoy their rights.
If India is to maintain is federalism, it should fulfil COCOMI's demand thereby helping to strengthen the country in the process," the Committee said, while expressing belief that everyone will extend full support to the above demand.
It then urged all political parties to make their stand clear through media ahead of the polls, while expressing hope that the parties along with its workers regardless of whether they are in the ruling or opposition, will work together to ensure Manipur is granted political autonomy.
