Continuing inspection visit to schools located across the state, a team of Federal Students' Organisation, Kangleipak (FESOK) visited Wabagai Higher Secondary School and found it in a dilapidating state with huge shortage of regular teachers.
In a release, FESOK publicity secretary Sanasam Preety has informed that the school which was upgraded to Higher Secondary school in 2022 has altogether 330 students and 23 teachers.
Of the total teachers, 16 are regular but 10 of them utilised from other schools while another 3 are engaged on contract basis and four hired by the school authority in the interest of the students.
While expressing concern over the absence of science laboratory rooms in the school, the release urged the authority concerned to look into the issue with all seriousness and provide necessary regular staff and infrastructure for the welfare of the student community.
