Stop using the term 'political accident', RK Anand to S Subhaschandra

Imphal, July 04 2021: Fomer MLA RK Anand has said that ex MLA S Subhaschandra should stop using the term political accident regarding his resignation from the post of MLA before the completion of his term.

RK Anand who is also an state executive member of BJP Manipur Pradesh, said this while attending a social service cum tree plantation programme organised by Awang Konjeng Youth Organisation (AKYO) today and said the programme was a part of the continuous series of events in remembrance of late Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee.

He also added that it was really unfortunate that ex MLA S Subhaschandra kept using political incidents as an excuse.

RK Anand also said while he was MLA, he had been continuously working toward making Waishel rivulet clean, which he has continued even after he was not an MLA.

During that time, the current Chief Minister was the IFCD Minister, who had inspected the condition of Waishel along with RK Anand.

RK Anand added that he also raised the issue to the Chief Minister back then and pressed the need for a dedicated Waishel project to preserve it.

Recently S Subhaschandra had thrown many allegations against me regarding the cleaning of Waishel and other projects in Naoriya Pakhanglakpa AC, he added.

S Subhaschandra had no reason to be angry when I had appealed the current Chief Minister to look after the condition of Waishel rivulet as the section of the rivulet in Naoriya Pakhanglakpa AC was yet to be clean in the absence of MLA while the section in Keishamthong AC have already been cleaned as the current MLA has taken the initiative, RK Anand added.

RK Anand further added that everything that he has done till now is for the welfare of the public and the state.

He added he has been involved in many issues including the fight against human rights violations, movement for safeguarding the territorial integrity of Manipur, regarding Indo-Myanmar border fencing etc.

He also said the proofs of all the developmental works done by him during his tenure as MLA and after that are well documented and if S Subhaschandra wants, they can have a debate on the same with proofs.

Empty talks and false allegations for political gain should be avoided as people are well aware about the things that have been done for the AC, he added.
