MDA aids driver's suffering family

Imphal, September 01 2024: Continuing its humanitarian assistance to suffering families of drivers, a delegation of Manipur Drivers' Association (MDA) visited the family of driver (late) Mutum Babu of Khurai Thongam Leikai on Sunday and handed over financial assistance to his family.

The MDA delegation comprising president Saikhom Babudhon, general secretary Sanjay Kshetrimayum, assistant secretary Sangeetcharan and other functionaries visited Babu's residence and handed over the amount to Babu's wife.

According to general secretary Sanjay, Mutum Babu was a driver who served people of the state for a long time by transporting rice from Jiribam to Imphal.

The association deeply condoles untimely the demise of Babu and provided help to his bereaved family by extending financial assistance.

He also said that the association will continue to extend help to drivers in distress and their families.
