Rally marks memorial event in Khangabok

Thoubal, September 27 2024: In remembrance of those who lost their lives so far in the ethnic conflict which broke out on May 3 last year, Khangabok Joint Coordinating Committee (KJCC) organised a memorial event at Khangabok Mayai Leikai Lai Haraopham Lampak, for the second time on Friday.

Apart from taking out a public rally, a discussion session centred on means to end the conflict and role of public was conducted as part of the memorial event.

The rally commenced from Khangabok Part-I Lukhoi Lampak and concluded at Khangabok Mayai Leikai Lai Haraopham Lampak, where floral tributes were offered to photos of thse who sacrificed their lives for Manipur in the ongoing crisis.

Delivering the keynote address, KJCC convenor Kh Bishan said that the event was organised to honour the martyrs' sacrifice to prevent disintegration of Manipur.

He noted steely resolve of many who love Manipur and are willing to sacrifice for upholding its territorial integrity.

Among others, Sanaleibak daily's editor Hemantakumar Ningombam was also present as a resource person of the discussion session.
