Leaders' Day held at Maram Centre

Senapati, February 24 2023: Senapati district administration organised its District Hill Leaders' Day or Meeyamgi Numit at Multi-Purpose Hall, Maram Centre on Friday.

Addressing media persons, DC Mahesh Chaudhari informed that the district administration shifted the venue of the Hill Leaders' Day to Maram Centre from the district headquarters for the convenience of the people and avail of government services at their doorstep.

He added that the programme is an initiative of the state's chief minister for prompt redressal of public grievances by bringing government facilities nearer to the people.

Hundreds of people turned for the event during which the deputy commissioner distributed agricultural tools and fanners cards to select farmers while social welfare department distributed wheelchairs and old age pension cards to the beneficiaries.

Buoyed by the good public response to the programme, Mahesh Chaudhari further informed that such programmes will be held at Tadubi or Mao area next time.

The deputy commissioner then thanked DLOs, SDOs and the public for the successful conduct of the Hill Leaders' Day.
