Essay competition on 'integrity' held

Imphal, October 20 2024: Irengbam Chaoren Memorial Trust organised a state level essay competition on the topic 'Manipurgee Apunba Saktam Ngakpada Yelhoumi Singna Lougadaba Thoudang/Responsibility of the indigenous people in upholding integrity of Manipur' on Sunday at Pitambara English School, and RM Memorial School, Kwakeithel Heinoukhongnembi.

More than 2000 students took part in the essay writing competition held in two categories - class VIII-X, and class XI and above (open) .

The competition for class VIII-X students was held at RM Memorial School and the second category at Pitambara English School.

Trust president Irengbam Bilashini said that the essay writing competition was conducted with the main objective to instil sense of patriotism among the students, particularly emerging youth, and their role in protecting integrity of Manipur.

Prizes to winners of the competition will be distributed during the birth anniversary function of late Irengbam Chaoren on November 2 at the auditorium of Manipur University.
