AR conducts Yoga sessions, Yog Shivir

Imphal, June 13 2024: Assam Rifles organised mass yoga sessions at Aibol Joupi, Kovang and Old Samtal villages and company operating base in Chandel district, as well as Yog Shivir at Tuilumjang village and KSO Community School, Sangaikot in Churachandpur district.

According to PRO IGAR (S), the events were aimed at raising awareness about the benefits of yoga and its relevance in daily life, and promote physical and mental well-being.

At COB Chandel, a week long training for trainers in Yoga ended Thursday in the run up to 15th International Yoga Day, while in Chandel district villages, the sessions were held on Wednesday with participation of 153 villagers, the PRO conveyed.

Simultaneously, the Yog Shivir at Sangaikot focused on promoting yoga among students and the community.

On the other hand, the Yog Shivir at Tuilumjang village saw enthusiastic participation of 70 children who gathered to learn and practice various yoga postures and breathing exercises, the PRO added.
