Awareness campaign on "Know your Covid vaccine" concludes

Ukhrul, July 11 2021: First phase of the week-long Covid-19 awareness campaign under the theme," Know your Covid vaccine" concluded today at Pharung village, Ukhrul.

The awareness campaign began at Mongkot Chepu village on July 5 covering more than 20 remote villages under the 44-AC segment of Ukhrul district.

SDO Ukhrul, CH Huileng, convener of the Committee led the team along with a host of Doctors including CMO Dr Kapangring in the mass vaccination campaign.

During the campaign, the medical team enlightened the benefits of timely vaccination to prevent further spread of coronavirus and also to contain the dreadful Covid-19 pandemic.

They also educated the locals on mutated Covid-19 Delta variants and the possible outbreak Covid-19 third wave.

The visiting medical team cleared the doubts and fears about the Covid vaccine..

CH Huileng urged the villagers to take advantage of door step vaccination drives in order to avert the inconveniences of visiting hospitals or PHCs for vaccination.

CH Huileng further extended his gratitude on behalf of the Covid-19 Enforcement cum Awareness Committee of 44 -AC Ukhrul to District Hospital's medical team for their support and efforts.

Besides, the second phase of the mass vaccination drive was also held today in three different villages- Lunghar, Langdang, and Choithar.

A total of 200 persons were vaccinated during the mass vaccination.

The week-long programme was jointly organised by the District Health Department and Covid-19 Enforcement cum Awareness Committee of 44-AC Ukhrul.
