Alleging that the rice and sugar quotas allotted to Singjamei AC for the month of March have been swindled by rationing agents, BJP State executive member Y Khemchand has asked the incumbent MLA of Singjamei to explain why the subsidised rice and sugar were not distributed to the beneficiaries.
A booth committee meeting of Singjamei Thongam Leikai polling stations 13/22 and 13/23 was held today at Daoji Mandop.
Speaking at the meeting, Y Khemchand said that rationing agents appointed by the MLA swindled the rice and sugar quotas allotted to Singjamei AC for the month of March this year.
The quota for March included 459.13 quintals of rice for BPL, 273.20 quintals for AAY, 184.12 quintals for APL and 249 quintals for Additional APL.
