In continuation of the ongoing movement against the extension of Centre-NSCN (IM) ceasefire to Manipur, yet another cycle rally was taken out in the streets of Bishnupur district.
Around 25,000 people, old and young alike, belonging to various communities in the district took part in the rally enthusiastically.
The mass rally which was flagged off from two places-Nambol and Moirang respectively converged at Bishnupur bazar where a large public meeting held at the community hall there.
A horde of eminent persons, presidents of NGOs and other organizations spreading the messages for the territorial integrity graced the occasion as chief guests of the function.
The speakers at the function strongly condemned the decision of the government of India to extend ceasefire to Manipur and described the move as undemocratic as the government has succumbed to the pressure of outlawed Naga outfit.
Today�s rally was organized by the United Committee Manipur in association with various local clubs of the district.
On the other hand, a mass cycle rally was also organized by the UCM in Wangoo.
