Mass Covid vaccination conducted at various places

In continuation of the COVID-19 preventive measures, TA & Hills Minister, Vungzagin Valte, who is also in-charge of Churachandpur and Pherzawl districts organised a mass Covid-19 vaccination drive at his residence in Dorcas Veng, New Lamka today.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that home quarantine is good, but without immunization, the virus could still be transmitted in the society.
Reminding the people about the importance of following Covid appropriate behaviours, the Minister also urged them to get themselves vaccinated at the earliest.
The drive was also' participated by Thienlaljoy Gangte, ADC; Dr Mang Tunglut, DIO; Zenngaihlun, DPM of Pherzawl district and other CSO leaders, village chiefs.
KAKCHING
Mass Covid vaccination programme was held under the supervision of Kakching AC MLA, Mayang1ambam Rameshwar at the residence of Up-adhyaksha, Md Nazimuddin in Sora Mamang Leikai today.
Mayanglambam Rameshwar personally visited the site and supervised the vaccination.
Speaking on the Occasion, the MLA urged the people to vaccinate themselves and not to fall into misleading claims shared about Covid vaccine on various social media platforms.
Moreover, a mass vaccination programme was also held yesterday at Chirag English School in Sora under the supervision of the MLA, Myanglambam Rameshwar.
TENGNOUPAL
Moreh SDO, I Dinesh Kumar in association with a medical team led by Primary Health Centre Moreh, MO in-charge, Dr Kh Santikumar under the supervision of District Administration Tengnoupal carried out mass Covid vaccination at Kwatha village today.
A total of 101 persons including 1 pregnant woman were vaccinated.
Besides, on testing 9 suspicious persons for COVID-19, 1 person was found positive.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Kh Santikumar expressed his anguish over the alleged undue treatment meted out to the medical team by the 20 Assam Rifles stationed at Khudengthabi Post even after the team informed them of their purpose for the trip.
THOUBAL
Social Service and Welfare Association Thoubal Wangmataba (SSAWA) under the supervision of Thoubal AC MLA, Okram Ibobi and District Administration Thoubal, carried out a mass Covid vaccination drive at Thoubal Wangmataba Sorok Makha Community Hall today.
During the drive, about 200 persons from Thoubal Municipal Ward No 1 and Thoubal Bazar area were vaccinated.
Later, the MLA also provided face masks, sanitizers, hand gloves, etc to the medical staff and local volunteers.
SSAWA appealed to the people to come forward for the vaccination and to provide their support in the fight against the pandemic.
