Traffic regulations, ban items notified for tri-nation football

Imphal, March 21 2023: The traffic control police and SP, Imphal West have issued notifications regarding traffic regulations in and around Khuman Lampak, and items banned from carrying inside the stadium during the Tri-Nation Football tournament, which will be on March 22, 25 and 28 .

According to a notification issued by SP Traffic, there will be some restrictions on the movement of vehicles along Pandon road on the match days except for the vehicles of WIPs, dignitaries, invitees and vehicles with passes.

No vehicle will be allowed to park along Dinku road, Pandon road and from North AOC to Mangal Healthcare near Minuthong on the match days.

General public /private vehicles with ticket shall enter Gate No.2 (near Indoor Stadium) and shall park their vehicles at the space in front of Indoor Stadium.

General public/private vehicles with ticket shall also enter Gate No.3 (near 9th IRB) and Gate No.4 (near Main Stadium) along Dingku road and park their vehicles near the Hockey Stadium.

There may be some sudden changes of traffic regulation depending on ground realities, the SP said and appealed to the public to come on foot as far as possible as there is limited parking space and to avoid traffic congestion.

Meanwhile, SP Imphal West notified items banned inside Khuman Lampak Main Stadium during this tournament.

The banned items include water bottles, inflammable items/liquids, matchboxes, lighters, any dangerous, hazardous items and weapons, and any prohibited and il legal substances including alcoholic beverages, tobacco items among others.
