LSTB, MUC plan workshop on Rite-de-Passage

Imphal, October 20 2024: Lainingthou Sanamahi Temple Board (LSTB), in collaboration with Manipur University of Culture, will organise a 15-day workshop on 'Rite-de-Passage' from November 2, to bring uniformity in various rituals observed throughout a person's life, from birth to death.

According to a statement of LSTB, the workshop will be conducted in two sessions - general and optional.

It will primarily focus on the Rite-de-Passage of the Kabui com munity and its connection to the Sanamahi religion, along with topics such as Lai Haraoba, Amaiba, Pena, Wari Liba, and Khamnung Maiba.

Persons interested in participating in the workshop may submit application forms between October 23 and 30 .
