AR celebrates Raksha Bandhan

Imphal, August 19 2024: Assam Rifles of IGAR (South) celebrated Raksha Bandhan at Kakching Garrison in Kakching district on Monday.

According to a release, the event was attended by AR troops, Kakching denizens, and members of Swami Vivekananda Kendra, Manipur Vibhag.

The celebration was not just about tying of rakh-is, but about building a deeper sense of belonging and mutual respect.

AR in collaboration with Swami Vivekananda Kendra and local civil society organisations has been working diligently to promote social harmony, acceptance of all faiths, and nurturing of strong moral values within the community, it said.

The release further mentioned that through the joyous festival of Raksha Bandhan, AR endeavoured to bring social workers and local population together creating an atmosphere of peace and understanding.
