Chairman vows fair service to workers

Imphal, August 17 2022: Manipur Building and Other Construction Workers' Welfare Board new chairperson K Sarat has stated that he will do everything that is required without any discrimination between the hills and the valley.

Speaking at a felicitation function organised by the Board at New Secretariat, Babupara here on Wednesday, Sarat remarked that if the much needed welfare projects for labourers/workers of the state were taken up, then influx of labourers from outside could be prevented.

He then assured of working hard to ensure workers/labourers are paid their entitled wages and their rights protected.

He also vowed to fulfil the Board s responsibilities with as little error as possible, while requesting time for rectification, if any error is found to have occurred.

Board secretary Peter Salam was also honoured on the occasion.
