Three arrested with drugs

Imphal, January 11 2022: Narcotics Cell, Imphal East arrested three people with psychotropic tablets and heroin on Monday and Tuesday.

According to police report, under the supervision of its OC Kb.

Devkumar Singh, a team of IE Narcotics Cell led by ASI Md Tamijur Rahman including women personnel, CDO-IE and volunteers of YADA, Khergao raided the residence of one K Ibotombi '(61), son of late K Bidhu of Top Awang Leikai on Tuesday around 2.15 pm.

During the raid, the police arrested K Eban Meitei along with 30 plastic vials containing heroin and Kayengpaibam (o) Tampa (53) wife of K Ibotonbi of Top Awang Leikai with 19 plastic vials containing heroin.

The arrested people along with the seized items have been handed over to Porompat police station for further necessary actions.

Another team of the Cell also raided the residence of Md Wahid (48), son of late Md Jalil on Monday around 4.45 pm and seized 22 SP capsules, 10 N-10 tablets, 65 Valium-5 tablets, 103 Tramazium tablets, 77 orange colour tablets and 66 plastic vial containing heroin.

Md Wahid along with the seized items has been handed over to Porompat police station, the police report added.
