MP Bimol urged for development of Lilong AC

Thoubal, July 09 2024: Lilong Development Forum (LDF) submitted a seven-point memorandum to Inner Manipur MP Angomcha Bimol Akoijam urging him to take up necessary measures for resolving problems faced by people of backward Lilong assembly constituency.

The memorandum submitted to the MP by LDF president Kh Ziaur Rahman proposed repairing of the Turel Ahanbi Dam and Imphal Barrage (Oinam Dam); construction of mini dam at confluence of Imphal river and Turel Ahanbi; construction of well-designed new community halls and development of public ponds; completion of black topping the road linking Lilong Leihaokhong Makok to Atoukhong via Oinam, Laikhrakpam (13 km); installation of drinking water renting machine/plant in areas of Turel Ahanbi (both sides), Lou Manga, Lou Tara, etc,; construction of two new mini stadiums (one indoor and one outdoor); and expediting construction of the composite bridge over Imphal river near Samurou Bazar.

It is said that the demands listed in the memorandum were endorsed in a public meeting held at June 5 .
