Army recovers arms, conducts medical camp

Imphal, September 05 2024:
A joint operation conducted by Indian Army and Manipur police in sensitive fringes of Kangpokpi and Imphal East districts on Thursday, led to recovery of one each heavy calibre launcher, 12 bore double barrel rifle, .177 Rifle with magazine and pompi gun, two pistols, five grenades, ammunition and war like stores, informed PRO Defence.
In a release, the PRO said that the Army also organised a medical camp at Tuisomjang in Kangpokpi district as part of its on-going efforts to promote community health and well-being.
Essential medical services including general health checkups, evaluation of vitals, blood-sugar level tests and RCGs to assess heart health were provided to 437 locals during the camp, added the release.
